St. Andrew Presbyterian Church Youth Group cleared the construction area.Craftsmen for Christ completed demolition of old walls.

Mike Birch of CalWest Concrete Cutting opened 100’ of trench for new drains.CalWest’s robo-demolition unit broke up the 7” slab in the trenches.Airmen and civilian workers from Beale AFB loaded the rubble.Over 12,000 lbs. of concrete were recycled during the trenching.Airmen dug trenches as deep as 6 feet to find existing drain lines.

The BAFB all-star excavation crew.Fletcher’s Plumbing tapped into existing drain lines….….and extended new drains for showers, washers, and sinks.….and extended new drains for showers, washers, and sinks.Then, Beale airmen refilled the trenches….….and tamped the fill over the completed drain lines.The existing slab was drilled for reinforcing rods….….which would tie to the replacement slab and prevent collapse.Jonas Construction framed our 18’ x 160’ separation wall….….and raised it in place on the same day.….and raised it in place on the same day.Beale 9th Civil Engineer Squadron began installing sheetrock on the firewall.Ed Tomei completed the top cap of the wall.Ed Tomei completed the top cap of the wall. ….and moved on to the outside layer of sheetrock.The City of Yuba City updated the water service with a new meter.St. Andrew’s “Men Under Construction” dug the trench for the water lines.The City replaced the sidewalk at the meter site.

CalWest Concrete Cutting sliced through an 8” concrete wall….….to establish a required second exit to the street.Ed Tomei formed up our new inclined sidewalks for both doors.

Mathews Readymix provided concrete….….while workers from Jonas Construction made the pour outside….….while workers from Jonas Construction made the pour outside….Jonas Construction framed up the new exit hall and surrounding rooms.Beale AFB work parties hung sheetrock in the newly divided areas.Berry Electric ran circuits in the remodeled area….….and connected it all to the existing service panel.

Robert Farley Construction completed nearly all the water supply plumbing.

….and Yuba City Floor Covering floated the repaired areas for painting.Yuba City Floor Covering installed vinyl in three rooms.Students from Yuba City High School painted the floors in the showers and laundry.Zink’s Remodeling mounted lockers and enclosed our janitorial areas.Airmen from Beale assembled shelving for our towel room and clothing closet.Big “S” Asphalt Services striped our on-street parking.Bob and Ed fabricated a railing for our main entrance.Airmen painted the exterior near our new gas service.
